Interested? Read on!<\/p>\n<p>Dana and Mark planned to meet at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rudysbarnyc.com\/home.html\">Rudy&#8217;s<\/a>, one of NYC\u2019s divy-est bars, since Mark was astonished to learn that Dana had never been. Plus, he was missing a tooth at the time and thought he\u2019d fit right in so maybe Dana wouldn\u2019t notice! Yes, you read right: missing. a tooth. And Dana, coincidentally, is the daughter of a dentist. If you can believe it, the missing tooth went un-mentioned for three dates until, during a bout of flirty banter, Dana unleashed with \u201cShut-up you toothless Canadian!\u201d And that was it. She stole his heart on the spot. No joke. In fact, that\u2019s the exact place Mark brought her back to when he proposed a year and a half later, this time with a tooth\u2026 and a ring.<\/p>\n<p>Dana and Mark were honored that their close friend in Rabbinical school facilitated the religious ceremony as the Mesaderet Kiddushin. Together they crafted a traditional egalitarian ceremony, complete with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ritualwell.org\/lifecycles\/intimacypartnering\/Jewishweddingscommitmentceremonies\/sitefolder.2005-06-07.5921979856\/primaryobject.2009-09-14.6282951464\">Gordon Tucker ketubah text<\/a>, Dana\u2019s participation in the exchanging of the vows, and a shared circling of each other: both went around three times and walked the seventh circle together. The wedding was infused with as many personal touches as possible: they were wrapped in the tallitot of their grandfathers, drank from the same Kiddush cup as Mark\u2019s parents did at their wedding, and used a challah cover hand-painted by a good friend.<\/p>\n<p>After the wedding, Dana wanted to continue to help other engaged couples, so she launched <a href=\"http:\/\/www.depositagift.com\">Deposit a Gift<\/a>, a cash gift registry service, offering brides and grooms an alternative to traditional gift registries.
