We’re into the final few days, and this will be our final post as single people. We are so excited to start our new life together. The next few days we will be busy beautifying ourselves and taking care of last minute details as we get ready for the wedding weekend whirlwind. If you’re coming from any distance, travel safe. We can’t wait to see everyone on Sunday!

We’re creepin’ up on the main event, but we’ve enjoyed lots of other exciting times leading up to the big day. Alison had two showers and a bachelorette party throughout March and April where family and friends from both college and high school toasted to these happy times.
Bryan partied with seven of his pals in Las Vegas for his bachelor party where they were treated like kings in VIP sections in a poker room and at Pure. It was awesome to be with such important and long time friends doing The Guy Thing. We’ve posted some of our pictures in our Gallery.  Take a look.

This is how the groom imagines the honeymoon to be:

A few days ago we hit the official three month mark!  There are now less than 90 total days until we get hitched.  Things are starting to heat up as we get ready for upcoming showers and bachelor parties.  We’ve finalized our timeline for the day, we’ve gone over the ceremony with the Rabbi, we’ve planned the weekend leading into it and the honeymoon following it.  We’re done with cake tasting, flower picking, menu selecting, photographer choosing and dress fitting.  We’re only days away from licking and stuffing envelopes.  All the big ticket items are complete and the only remaining items are those little details that nobody but the bride ever thinks about.  Check in often over the next few months as we keep everyone updated about the big day.  We can’t wait to see you all!

It’s been months and months since we’ve posted anything here, but there’ve been some things that have been keeping us busy.  We neglected to mention our one-year engagement anniversary on January 12.  We didn’t write about the fact that we’ve picked out our invitations.  We didn’t post the details of our recent cake tasting adventures.  We totally forgot to say anything about us having picked out and bought our wedding bands.  Well, now we’ve said it all in a nutshell and everyone is all caught up.  The day is approaching pretty fast.  Only four months away!  It’ll be here before you know it.  We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Alison and Bryan have bought their wedding wear for the big day. In early October, Bryan found The Tux that will make him a snappy-lookin’ groom. The black, finely textured Ralph Lauren tux didn’t even need that much in alterations — it fit like a glove! And on October 19, Alison and Mother of the Bride made the trip to Bridal Elegance, the chosen bridal salon, to purchase the gown that Alison had been eyeing all summer. Of course, pomp and circumstance mandates that the bride’s attire must remain a secret (especially to the groom who programs this very website!) so until May 25, all you can know is that Alison loves her dress and cannot wait to wear it! We have lots of news to update you all with.  Here’s the list:

1) We officially booked our florist, Lei-Ann from Happy Flowers.  We love her sense of style and design and we know that she will do a fabulous job at meeting our vision and keeping our day colorful, romantic and elegant.

2) We have finalized almost all the details for our honeymoon.  Check out our Honeymoon Adventure page if you want to know what we plan on doing while we are catching some sun in the middle of the Pacific.

3) We will be sending out our Save the Date notifications some time in the next few weeks.  Keep an eye out for them and you can always contact us if you have any wedding related questions.  Trust us…we are all too happy to answer them.

Our engagement photo session with Eight20 was this past weekend and within one day they had our photos up on their blog for all the world to see.  We had a ton of fun with Eric and Nicky and the pictures came out really great!  Check out the slideshow!  Now we are more excited than ever to have them shoot at our wedding.

We went on our first date on August 5, 2005, which means that yesterday marked our two-year anniversary of being together. We celebrated in style by doing work at our computers until midnight. Don’t worry, though! There is a romantic date night planned for our near future.

As far as our wedding plans, it’s been a while since we’ve posted any news, but the latest is that we finally picked a band! We selected Word of Mouth to provide the musical entertainment throughout the entirety of our big day. Our florist is likely next, but with the photographer and band now booked, most of the remaining planning involves tasting food, which we are very excited about. We’ll keep you posted.

Well, our engagement party was such a fun night and we enjoyed spending time with our friends and family! Thanks to D’Amores in Westlake Village for catering such a yummy dinner!
