Max and Nicole met in Milwaukee, Wisconsin while Nicole was working at a doctor’s office and Max was working as a pharmaceutical representative. They knew each other professionally for several years before they were “set-up” by one of the doctors with which Nicole worked. This doctor saw Max and Nicole talking one day and it suddenly became his mission to set them up on a date; he thought they were perfect for each other, and they were!
Max and Nicole’s vision for their wedding was to have an intimate affair. They wanted to have their closest family and friends there to celebrate the most special day of their lives. It was important to them that everyone had a great time and enjoyed the food.
Max and Nicole’s downtown Indianapolis wedding was held in the location of the former LS Ayers Tea Room, which was a high society dining location for Indianapolis’s elite many years ago.
It was important to Max and Nicole to incorporate Judaism and Jewish traditions throughout their wedding day. As an interfaith couple, Max and Nicole felt it was equally as important for the Rabbi to explain the meanings behind the proceedings, so all guests in attendance understood the traditions.
After the Rabbi directed Max to step on the glass, his focus must have been on his new wife, because he completely missed the glass, creating the day’s biggest “oops” (though he got it on the second attempt!).
The beautiful rooftop garden was the perfect setting for portraits after the ceremony, showing off some of the great views of a wonderful city.
After the ceremony, which was mostly but not entirely in English, the Hora was one of the most memorable parts of the reception.
