Friday Favorites | ModernTribe’s Tree of Life

Today’s the day we get googly-eyed over things we love and then give them away! And in honor of the growing family of The Wedding Yentas (that’s you, dear readers and vendors!) and the growing family that couples experience when they get married, we present to you the Gold Elm Tree of Life necklace from our very good friends at ModernTribe Jewish Gifts.

This fabulous online store brings Judaica and Jewish gifts to the new generation of Jews that will help them express and develop their Jewish identity. Through jewelry, home decor, books, clothes, and Jewish icons, people of all ages can enjoy cool finds that still have deep roots in our heritage.

So, speaking of deep roots, we absolutely love this Tree of Life necklace for many occasions! The necklace, designed by Polli from Australia, in inspired by the growth of old trees and you don’t have to worry about it looking old when you wear it because it’s protected with a coating to deter tarnishing. You can gift this piece to yourself and wear it to your aufruf prior to your wedding. It’s festive enough and pays tribute to the milestone experience you will soon experience in your life as your families branch out. (wah wah wah).

We can also imagine wedding day moms plotzing when you give them this gift as an expression of your love and a hint of what’s to come as you bind your families through marriage. Just make sure the mothers are wearing waterproof mascara. It’s a beautiful necklace with personal significance that we know any lucky lady would be happy to wear. And if you have other important women in your life, consider gifting this necklace to a maid of honor, a shower hostess, or grandmas. It’s a classic piece with a modern twist that will leaf your favorite people feeling loved.

Aaaaaand it could be yours to win!

Friday Favorites | A Little Nosh

It’s Friday, so it’s time to gush as we give away one of our favorite things and we’re not kidding, this is a major favorite! You’ll want to nosh a lot with one of our favorite bakeries, A Little Nosh.

A Little Nosh bakes a variety of delicious goodies that are perfect for any wedding-related event! Bridal shower favors? A Little Nosh has got you covered! A dessert bar for late night munchies at your wedding reception? A Little Nosh is there for you! A day-after brunch for your relatives and out-of-towners? A Little Nosh will wake everyone up after all that late-night fun. Oh, and remember Monday’s post about Shabbat dinners? Well, Shabbat dessert should definitely include some yummies from A Little Nosh.

Cindy Daniels, creator and baker of all things wonderful, uses the finest quality ingredients and spices in all of her bakery items. She doesn’t skimp on deliciousness and she bakes it all with love. Cindy takes pride in all of her baked goods, having practiced and perfected all of her secret recipes, which is why her customers continue to come back for more (and more and more).

We’ve tasted her products and can guarantee that they’re totally delicious and addicting. Her mandelbrot (a biscotti-type cookie, sometimes known as mandelbread as well) could totally cause you to spend a few days in rehab because it’s just that addicting. Lindsay Lohan, take note. Cindy makes mandelbrot in several different flavors, but our personal favorite is chocolate chip. They contain the perfect ratio of chocolate chips to cookie and it’s sprinkled with magic yummy dust (a cinnamon and sugar combination — simply and perfectly sweet!).

Banana bread, chocolate cake, macaroons, ruggelah: all amazing creations from A Little Nosh. All of Cindy’s goods would be wonderful gifts for friends or contributions to a dessert table at a family gathering.
