They met at a bar. I know, likely story, but sometimes it works out. It did for Sarah & Matt.

They met while Sarah was a junior at Binghamton University at Uncle Tony’s Bar on a Thursday night. Matt was there with a friend of his from work (Matt was a Sports Anchor for a local TV station). About three-and-a-half years later they were engaged in Buffalo.

The Wedding: A beautiful simple ceremony, led by Rabbi Alexander Lazarus-Klein. Sarah & Matt wanted the wedding to be a little different, so they chose to go with very traditional Jewish vows: “I am my beloved and my beloved is mine.” They liked the vows because they expressed a lot without having to say a lot. After the ceremony, it was all about everyone having fun. The big thing was an amazing band to get everyone dancing and up on their feet, all night long, and they definitely accomplished it!

Mazel tov, Sarah and Matt!

At Zack and Jessie’s ceremony, traditional Jewish rituals were included every step of the way while honoring the memory of special family members. In her grandfather’s memory, the couple incorporated his tallit into the chuppah above to symbolize his watching over them. Zack and Jessie also used the siddur that belonged to her mother’s father (also deceased) on the table with the kiddush cup. The kiddush cup is special because it belonged to Jessie’s great grandfather on her father’s side! It was important to feel that their families were all around them.

Zack and Jessie dreamed of a special and meaningful wedding. They both wanted a small affair, but large enough to include all of their loved ones. Zack comes from New York, and Jessie is from Los Angeles, so they planned an event that was very “L.A.” which is why The London was a perfect venue. The London boasts gorgeous views of the Hollywood Hills from one direction and the other side is the sweeping view of the cosmopolitan L.A. area. Jessie and Zack also knew that they wanted a dance party with amazing food and that is exactly what they got thanks to their phenomenal menu by Gordon Ramsey and dance floor tunes by West Coast Music. Their band kept everyone on the dance the entire night for the ultimate party atmosphere.

We love when couples celebrate their families and their unique styles at their wedding, a day that two individuals join as a union. Warm fuzzies all around!

They met as teenagers. Ari and Vanessa went to neighboring high schools and attended summer school together in 1997. But that was it. Just summer school. Thirteen years later, they reunited at a bar where Ari went to escape Super Bowl parties he wasn’t interested in attending, and Vanessa was there for a birthday party. They recognized each other, exchanged numbers, and it all began… at a bar.

An interesting and sweet detail from their wedding: Each close family unit received a square to design that would be quilted into a canopy on their chuppah. What a lovely way to include the union of two families!

Mazel tov, Vanessa and Ari!

Real Jewish Weddings | West Palm Beach, FL

Lauren and Levi met through mutual friends at the Chabad of FIU, where Lauren frequented while obtaining her Bachelor’s degree. A few years later on July 10th 2011, after a fairy tale wedding proposal in a hot-air balloon ride over South Florida, Lauren and Levi set the date for their wedding. Lauren was born and raised in a traditional Jewish home in Miami as the younger of two children. Levi grew up in Miami in an orthodox Jewish home with nine brothers and sisters!

Lauren and Levi chose to have an orthodox ceremony incorporating such traditions as the Chuppah, the breaking of the glass, and even observing the “Golden Week” in which they did not see each other for seven days prior to the wedding. Imagine the emotion you would have on your wedding day if you hadn’t seen your fiancé for an entire week. Imagine the look that the two of you would share when you saw each other for the first time. Imagine a wedding wrapped in traditions, family, love, and of course celebration. That’s how to best describe Lauren & Levi’s wedding. On Sunday February 26th 2012 at the beautiful Chateau Dubois, an incredible private estate looking out on Biscayne Bay, surrounded by palm trees, water and marshes.

The beautiful ceremony was held in the backyard under the clear sky as the sun set over the bay. Once the glass was broken, it was time to celebrate on the pool-side dance floor with the palm trees lining the Miami skyline. The dancing continued all night between dinner courses and heart melting speeches. An evening filled with food, drinks, music, dancing, hugs, laughter, family and friendship; it was the perfect start to the beginning of Lauren and Levi’s long and happy life together.

Mazel tov, Lauren and Levi!

It all started when Sandy and Navid were introduced by Sandy’s best friend and the match turned out to be a success. After a year of dating, Navid popped the question by setting up a picnic at a Dave Matthews Band concert at the Hollywood Bowl. After the concert Navid took Sandy back to her place and to her suprise, she opened the door to a completely transformed apartment. Roses, candelight, music and champagne filled the room. It was then that Navid got onto one knee and proposed to Sandy and of course she said yes!

From the time Sandy and Navid began dating, they brought life to a party anywhere they went. So their high energy Persian Jewish wedding day was no different. They danced the night away with close friends and family and enjoyed luxurious food and fun.

Mazel tov, Sandy and Navid!
