{Real Jewish Weddings} Savannah, GA

Yliana and Nick met through mutual friends, and it’s easy to say that this couple knew what they wanted when they realized they had it: he proposed in a letter after three months of dating and were married nine months later. Nick was raised Jewish and Yliana was not, but they had gone to a Jewish wedding together and both loved the warmth, beauty, and attention to personal details in the Jewish ceremony and knew they’d want to be married the same way with the same traditions. Originally, the plan was to have a big wedding, but they realized the best option for them would be a very private and personal wedding between them and a rabbi. Because they love the architecture of Savannah, they chose Forsyth Park as the ceremony site and learned that their’s was the first Jewish wedding to ever occur there.

Because the wedding was truly all about them, Yliana and Nick hired a stellar wedding vendor team to design and coordinate a dream wedding. After the ceremony under Forsyth’s Park first chuppah, they sat at a table to drink champagne and enjoy wedding cake! You’ll notice their table is set for six; Yliana and Nick included their stellar wedding team in their celebration.

The details in this wedding are so intricate and beautifully designed. Read more about the vintage details of this special and unique evening at the Mill Crest Vintage wedding blog!

Surprise Proposal in Venice, Italy!

Buon giornio! Today we have a super adorable surprise proposal — in Venice! Italy! Pizza! Vino! Engagements! Does it get more romantic than that? Here’s a little somethin’-somethin’ from photographer, Luca Faz, who shares the scoop on Anna and Maksim:

Anna hired me for a photo walk with her boyfriend. I offered to meet them again a bit before sunset, and while Anna was getting ready, Maksim shared his plan to propose and asked if I knew a romantic place.
The idea I had was to go to S. Giorgio Island in front of San Marco Square and leave the camera on a tripod in video mode and then leave them alone under the excuse of having a phone call to make. That’s when Maksim would know to start the proposal.

I doubt I’ll get again such a candid and spontaneous reaction from so close (usually I do proposals from far away with a tele lens, but in this case she was already aware of my presence since she hired me in the first place!).

{Real Jewish Weddings} Topanga Canyon, CA

Nestled in the natural beauty of Topanga Canyon, California, Linda and Daniel’s wedding at the Inn of the Seventh Ray was a casual celebration and these two made it as much about their guests as it was about them. After getting dolled up at the most luxurious hotel, The Four Seasons Westlake Village, Linda glowed in ultimate beauty as she arrived at the wedding venue.

Their wedding had the feeling of a really big dinner party with some great live music playing in the background. Linda was more interested in getting photos with all her guests than running off to do newlywed portraits, which is a real sign of what is at the core of these two great people: a deep love for their friends and family.

{Real Jewish Weddings} Sunny Isles Beach, FL

Juicy red pops against the beautiful white sands of Sunny Isles Beach, minutes away from Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. In this Jewish wedding, it’s all about Rachael and Scott who chose the perfect location to celebrate their special day. Adorable flower girls charmed the ceremony and reception and Rachael and Scott’s bridal party looks like a fun group! They definitely knew how to let loose and pose for portraits, making it easy for Stay Forever Photography to capture the essence of the day.

The red and white color palette comes through again as a reliable pairing for any locale. We’ve seen this duo at winery weddings, country club weddings, and here we are at a beach wedding where it provides a festive and formal aesthetic with florals, linens, and dresses!

{Real Jewish Weddings} Los Angeles, CA

Nicole and Rob’s wedding played up urban chic with purples and silvers at the architectually modern Skirball Center in Los Angeles. The main details were expertly designed. Specifically, the ceremony floral arrangements and reception lighting were just stunning, and Nicole and Rob had a vision that was beautifully executed against the Skirball’s chameleon canvas.

Embrace Life Photography submitted many couples shots that really allow us to get to know the beautiful bride and her handsome groom. Their pre-ceremony photos are great examples of how to model before the trot down the aisle to the chuppah. Fierce. Playful. Romantic. Well done, everyone!
