It’s no secret that The Wedding Yentas blog loves love. Love also does not require explanation or defense. So, while The Wedding Yentas has a catchy, rhyme-y tagline of “A Guide for the Jewish Bride,” everyone should know that The Wedding Yentas is a guide for love… for any bride. Or groom. Totally Jewish. Jew-ish. No religion. Two brides. Two grooms. Whatever!
So today’s a day of firsts on The Wedding Yentas. It’s the first feature of a same-sex AND multicultural couple (two cute fellas! One’s Jewish and the other’s Indian). The Wedding Yentas is a guide for love and commitment, and these two are an adorable example of boy meets boy and fall in love as captured by Jalapeño Photography.

Two politicos, Michael and Samir, found one another in the melting pot that is Washington, D.C. Michael’s Jewish and from Alaska. Samir’s Indian and from Missouri. Regardless of their differences, once they met, they were inseparable!

During Michael and Samir’s courtship, they learned a lot about one another and traveled to far flung places. The ebbing and flowing of D.C. politics can be difficult on a relationship, but Michael and Samir weathered it as administrations and jobs changed.

One night, they began discussing their own future as opposed to politics. At this point, they agreed: Michael and Samir knew they wanted one another!

Mazel tov, Michael and Samir!
